Dark Knight Mine Help Needed

Im thinking about trying to make the mines used by batman (Below) from scratch. I was going to use polysirne balls for the shape of the general mine and score it to get the indented likes that run around them. But I'm stuck if I know what to use for the metal spikes that are seen around the mine? Any help is welcomed

I don't know the size of them, but I am really reminded of the tops of some mechanical pencils or high end pens that I have seen.

They look just like chromed needle caps for insulin syringes.

What about thin aluminium pipes? It looks like you could almost stick them through the . But you would also need small aluminium caps, I guess.

I've been looking for these for a while. Knowone seems to have any left so if you succeed I would love to get some. I have two of the Noble ones which are bigger than seen in the film but they did have a prop that size. It's just never seen in the movie.

Are you going to make the medium size or small size ones from the film and are they going to be armed or disarmed???

They were used in Batman Begins at the end when he's in arkham asylum he uses them to blow out the locks on the doors, and if I'm right you see them in the case in TDK when Bruce is talking to Lucius when his armours been upgraded

Right, the mini mines are tiny. The noble replicas pieces are pretty big. I thought they were replicas of the ones he uses to "discourage" the police during the chase scene.

As far as I know there isn't any licensed replica of the mini ones. I have seen the mini ones offered a few times though.

I did like the noble replicas till I saw the size of them. I wanted to keep them to the screen size as much as possible

Your right about the mines in the chase. I missed that. The larger noble type one is also seen, without the cable connecting them used in the chase, in the prop display from the film on the Batman Unmasked gallery site. TDK ones are hard to tell what size they are but might be the big ones.

In the film we see two different sizes he uses by hand. Both armed and disarmed on his table. I believe the one in his hand we see activate is the small one he uses to blow the lock. Then the medium one ,we never see to blow a hole in the wall which makes sense.

They have been offered here and a few other places by members in resin armed and disarmed but seem to be gone. All I want is one mini and one medium. I can cast my own from there to make multiple aremd and disarmed ones but I have had no luck in finding them. Maybe when TDKR comes out.
