So folks, thought I'd start a thread for this.
1) Black Graflite
2) planned parts:
Leitz Bracket
Heiland shroud
3) make a pommel?
Flange from a scanning electron microscope lab, and the internal front dial from a Focus telescope! Disassembled, cleaned..
Add the internal battery plate from a Busch Flash as an endcap... had to glue everything together, parts just didnt quite fit.

I used some gaffer tape to thicken the pommel. It has just the right flanges to mimic the V2/v3 pommel that just hangs out the bottom of those sabers
I also found out another Busch internal flash plate covered the open socket (this graflite had the right angle socket) and a Kodak lens slipped right over it, looking rather MPP like
