Daniel Craig confirmed for 2 more Bond films...

It's not so much him I'm no thrilled about but it's the writing. I love Dame Judy as M but ever since the first movies she was in the part hasn't been the same. These are the first bond films I don't rush out to buy.

I was raised on Bond... Sadly I was raised during the Moore years primarily.

The writing in the films now is FAR superior to any Bond film of that era. The films are also better acted then they have been since Goldeneye.

The only thing that threw be a bit off was the editing in QOS. Otherwise Craig is the most solid Bond in a long time. REALLY looking forward to Skyfall!

He is a good bond, he's very much the bond of the novels and even the Connery years. Oddly enough my dad would put on the Connery movies way more than the Moore ones when they were on tv when I was younger. Let's not also forget the Casino Royale with David Niven as it's a classic lol. I actually have the dvd that comes with an old 1950s live tv broadcast of Casino Royale that has Peter Lorre in it.

Craig is my favorite. Sorry Sean. Moore I liked until I watched Sean, then I didn't like Moore. Then a few years ago I saw Moore in an interview and as a person I thought he was fantastic. Still Craig is my favorite.

I have that same DVD! :lol

I try my best not to pick on Moore but he is my least favourite. You have to give him credit though, if it weren't for him I don't think the franchise would have lasted through the 70's.

Glad to hear it. I enjoy Craig as Bond just as I enjoyed Connery (up until Never Say Never Again) and Moore (up until A View to a Kill). I enjoyed Dalton as Bond even though the movies weren't the best Bond movies ever. I liked Brosnan (up until Tomorrow Never Dies).

I didn't even mind Lazenby.

Connery will always be my #1 choice for Bond. He just encapsulates everything about the character. I would go so far to say that Craig is my second favourite though, he's got the role down pretty well.

After that probably Dalton, Lazenby, Brosnan, & then Moore.

I generally leave Niven & Sellers out of the picture. :lol

Sadly I think Connery jumped the shark with DAF. I agree with you on Brosnan though, the only one of his I really like is Goldeneye.

Never Say Never again was Connery needing cash fast lol. I mean it's just a remake of thunderball. Lazenby would have been great if they hadn't replaced him so fast, poor guy never got a chance.

Lazenby actually left IIRC. Got some bad advice I think...

Don't get me wrong, there isn't a single Bond film that I wouldn't sit down and watch right now. Just as far as pecking order goes I certainly prefer the "good" ones. ;)

Yeah I think Cleese would have been really good at it too. Too bad they aren't using him as Q in the new films.

I love John Cleese, I really do, but bringing someone like him in to the role was a big part of Brosnan's jumping the shark I think.

He would be very out of place in the Craig films.

I'm happy to hear Craig is on board for two more films. He pretty much got me back into the Bond series. However I do have my choices for his replacement...Michael Fassbender, Idris Elba.
