In the first wave of Doctor Who action figures featured a Dalek with a removable panel that revealed the mutant inside. I never much liked how they engineered this so I decided to do a quickie modification.
I removed the door panel, unscrewed the plastic weapon ball-joint bracket...
...And used some Aves putty to secure the ball-joints (I applied some vaseline first so the weapons would still rotate)
I then sawed the doors apart and backed them with thin styrene.
For the "T pipes" that allow the doors to open, I grabbed an old model tree and cut them to size.
Then I glued the doors onto the T-pipes and it's done!
