Daft Punk Thomas Pepakura Helmet

Hi there,

I'd first off like to apologise if I have posted this in the wrong section of the forums, but I thought it was most fitting.

A month ago I discovered Pepakura (Paper craft) and was fascinated by the things that you could make with just paper. Seeing that a handful of props start out as paper-based models (Dredd helmets, Halo armour, etc.), I started digging for something I was really interested in. I didn't want to choose something that I would spend months and months putting together as I knew that, with it being my first go, it would most likely turn out pretty poor.

I stumbled across thedaftclub.com (Credits to the guys over there for hosting the files and compiling a multitude of helmet designs) and instantly fell in love with Thomas' helmet; pictured here:

I didn't see the point in making a huge 'build progress' thread as I'm really only folding and gluing pieces of paper together - there's not much artistic prowess in that :D I'm not sure I can take this further with creating the actual helmet. It's printed on 80gsm paper, not 200gsm, so would be very hard to lather with fibreglass glue stuff (I have no idea what I'm talking about, nor have I ever dabbled in this stuff before). Without further adieu, I present my first paper prop - Daft Punks' Thomas' helmet:

I didn't have a stand to present the helmet, so I used my whisky bottle to prop it up, sorry! :)

Thanks for reading.
