This is a Blaster Core version 4 build.

Almost done. However, this one will have power indication LEDs and some other additions.

Another eDSFG is born. This is the second in my collection. I still have to add the muzzle flash LED (thinking Green) and energy level tri-LED (Green, Yellow, and Red) into the side plate. So this one will be slightly different from the movie version. The sound fonts will also be exclusive to this build. I haven't decided on minty clean black or weathered yet.

Test video - I only had an orange LED in stock so I temp installed it. I use a set screw on the muzzle so that the LEDs can be replaced (if you want) anytime.

If I stay with the orange muzzle flash, I think I'll stay with orange accents. This is the 4th revision of these side plates (both shape and thickness). And then I need to consider the number of accent leds and pattern. I could do both charge level and activity.

LOL......beautiful work Big D.....your talents are recognized for your props...but I seen the phaser collection in the background , did you want to ship that USPS ,Fedex, or UPS

Had you thought of doing the TV version, I think they went with the stun/kill switch which was selected using the rear gas chamber. Maybe a thought if your doing led accents?

I thought about that and it certainly could be done with minor modifications. I had actually planned to do that but just went a different route.
 
The MkII build is complete. All that is left is paint.. Here is a video of the 2.1mm LEDs being tested.

Logan's Run DSFG MkII

I was going to use 3mm barrel LEDs but after putting them in a spare piece of aluminum, I decided to go smaller with 2.1mm gull-wing LEDs. Routing the aluminum side plate and wiring everything up was tedious to say the least. The MkII side plates were hand fabricated as well.
