D.C.'s The Flash (tv series)

hah yea that was a surprising bit this episode. really cool to see them setting up the dual identity Firestorm too.also john wesley shipp, even as a side character has been one of my favorite parts but this episode specifically was great

Yeah I liked the Henry/Barry interaction in the prison infirmary. Especially how Henry figured out that Barry is The Flash all on his own.

Also, drunk Caitlin is fun. Hangover Caitlin is funny.

Looks like a Flash /Atom crossover episode

I'm surprised this thread doesn't have more activity, this show is pure comic bookness on TV ! Flash, speed force, time travel, gorilla Grodd... And looks like we're headed full steam towards a flashpoint paradox story ! I hope that they'll stay in the flashpoint alternative universe for more than one episode when they get there.

We knew Flashpoint had to come into it sometime since the first episode, everyone knew that Barry was one of the streaks when his mother died. I don't know that they're going to go into the Flashpoint universe since they have an established shared universe with Arrow and perhaps other shows to come. The DC TV Universe is a thing unto itself.

The latest episode (Fallout) was pretty awesome. Not only did we get to see Firestorm more or less "reconciled," but we finally definitively saw Wells in the Reverse Flash suit. Combine that with the teaser for the next episode (which is unfortunately a month away!) and it looks like all the smoke and mirrors we've seen about Wells's identity and feats will be revealed.

Oh, and y'know, Grodd is on the way.

I've never been a big fan of Grodd. It's such an early Silver Age kind of concept, pretty cheesy. Maybe if there's no Gorilla City in the show, I can stomach it.

My wife is really confused about why I'm giddy every time Grodd gets a mention or cameo.
I've never read a Flash comic before, and don't really know anything about Grodd, but the idea of a talking gorilla supervillain from a comic book making it to tv just amazes me. I love it.

God this show is so awesome. Probably the best comic-based TV show to date.
I love that they had Firestorm in this.

So.... how's he going to travel backward in time? Cosmic Treadmill?

Finally coming back this week. What the hell is it with all these breaks ? What happened to just one mid season break ? Anyway, with flashpoint obviously coming on some degree, I was having a discussion with a friend and we concluded it would be awesome if Arrow also diffuse a few episode in the flashpoint universe while the flash is in it too. Even with a cross over or two. Since they already are taking batman material shamelessly, they should go all in. Have Oliver die for good on the boat, his father survives the island and come back home to take the mantle of a coldblooded killer alcoholic Arrow, and occasionally team up with Slade (bring back Bennet !) to go criminal hunting or something, while Moira takes Merlin's place and become the Dark Archer. Meanwhile Barry's mom is alive, but he's powerless while Reverse Flash wreaks havoc, Caitlin and Cisco gets power from the accelerator, and fight each other, with Captain Cold and Heat Wave on the good side of the law. It would also need a major conflict somehow to mirror the war between Aquaman et Wonder Woman, since they can't use them of course, so the meta humans can take sides. That would be awesome in my book, but I fear it's a bit too bold for the network or it will confuse the regular audience. But it would certainly be a breeze of fresh air in that nonsense useless drama Arrow has become lately.

They're trying to get the end of the season into the May sweeps, that's all that matters to the networks, getting ratings in specific months so they can charge advertisers more. Welcome to modern television.

I can't believe that wasn't even the season finale...

Such an amazing episode! This show definitely isn't pulling any punches or taking things slow (pun intended)!
