According to the article the origin film is still happening and will be independent of the DCEU. If Joaquin Phoenix is still attached to it, I am definitely looking forward to it.

Guess with all these Joker films and the Harley Quinn movies, I wonder if Joker ends up getting more films and screen time than Superman in the next decade.
