That's it Rob. It worked fin. the decals are well sealed in. I got a very slight orange pealing in some areas but you really have to look close to see it.

I personally like future for my clear gloss coats because its self leveling, and it produces a very good gloss. But its a little more of a pain to clear it out of the airbrush. I use a dedicated brush for it.

This might be a little off topic , will acreation be offering these decals on his site? I would diffently want a few sets of those.

Yes, I should have them on the site tonight or more likely tomorrow afternoon. I'll probably start with a print run of 20 just to have a few finished sets ready to go to fill orders more quickly.

I have your NX-01 aztecs and would certainly be in the market for the PL replacement set. Will be looking for them and thanks for doing them.

Best to have some real decals. These are just too old I guess. Even with t e bonder when there old like this I've had too many problems. If the pay was higher on these builds or it was my own maybe. Thanks for the offer. But all these little ones and the pins stripes won't make it bonder or not IMO.

Steve -
Round 2 has had some quality issues with their decals and this has been documented on other forums extensively. I think they have addressed their quality control problems and are providing replacement decals free of charge. However, Rob is a great guy and is already taking care of you, so no need to pursue it further in this case. Just an FYI for future reference.
:thumbsup

This may be a different matter. AFAIK Round 2 has not reissued or in any way touched the 1:350 NX since they bought back AMT/Ertl, MPC and Polar Lights. That fact may mean that they do not have a stock of replacement decals from a kit that was already OOP before they were even bought out. Now for the 1:1000 kit, yes, the reissue kit comes with brand new decals, although someone screwed up the colors.

Not much to see but she's all painted with the little details. A few more light leaks I found fixed. Stand finished. No bottle cap anymore. The pole is painted aluminum. I have gone as far as I can until the plaques get here and the decals from Rob.

Moving on to a rush job for Whitley Strieber's new book trailer. I''m doing all the editing and CGI for it. hope to finish by the time the decals get here.

Getting the molding materials for the big TOS Enterprise build next week.

Looks great. My own 1:1000 build is parked for now too, but for the paint. I have 4 bottles of metalizer aluminum shipping to me, should get here wednesday, so for now I've got all the sub-assemblies in primer just waiting for paint. I really hate waiting. I could have this thing DONE by wednesday if I had the paint today :/ I was thinking, hey if I hadn't bought those 4 kits I'd have the paint by now, but no, I wasn't thinking about the flammable materials ground-shipping only rule. Our hobby is a cruel one. A whole lot of hurry up and wait. I swear I spend more time waiting for something to dry, than I spend in building. 100 hour builds? More like 20 hour build, 80 hours waiting.

Okay, I got them added to the site, about to head up and make a print run of them.

$10 each plus shipping.

I was also able to squeeze registries for the Columbia into it, so you can use them to make either on-screen ship seen in the show without buying another huge decal set.

I also included a bunch of spares of the tiny and the slightly not so tiny tic marks.

There is practically no room left on this sheet. It is bear hugging the printer margins.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled broadcast.

Can't wait to see how Steve uses all those tic marks.

Probably with excessive swearing, like when I built mine.

*And for those people who say "I dont swear I say, darn it or "SHOOT!" Yeah, thats still swearing because the intent behind it is the same. My words are just more fun and colorful :p

I feel like Superman, i just did those in practically a day since I didn't do much yesterday. Normally I'd spend 3 or 4 days on something like that.

Acreation - Ordered a set... Now when are you gonna get to the new Reliant aztec ;)

Steve - You Da Man! Your NX has inspired me to start mine... and I'm pretty sure MANY of us would be pretty happy with your "imperfect" refit... it looks pretty dang nice too...

Geez you people are such slave drivers. "Thank you for working all weekend to give us this product... now get back to work, I want more!"

IF things go according to plan, next weekend I'll have the revised decals for the Enterprise B, and the Excelsior. The Reliant will be relealsed at WF, possibly with the Galaxy Quest Protector kit. Feel free to ask questions on the Acreation Models facebook page, so we don't continue to keep hijacking Steve's thread :p
