4-17-17 UPDATE
The 3 Month Build Period has Begun.
Contestants can use this thread to post their progress but I wouldn't recommend posting completed pics till the Big reveal / voting thread.

All of the parts for the original 9 entrants have shipped.
As long as I have Flash Hiders available you can still enter the contest but the completion date will not change.

I asked Corellian Exports to post to this thread if he thought he had anything that would be useful and he took me up on the offer.
If your a parts maker and you have something you think could benifit the participants on this contest feel free to post it.h

4-10-17 UPDATE
Durrett won the scope bracket and spacer ring
All 9 contestants have been invoiced and I have decided to ship the parts as the invoices are paid.
However, the 3 month clock will not start until the 9th Flash Hider is paid for or until the 10th if another person joins the contest

I have started to send out the invoices for flash hiders and extra parts.
Here are a few custom ideas that might work for some of you

Recently I built a custom DL-44 Blaster using a mangled Denix Mauser and a ROTJ Flash Hider
I had fun building this and I have a bunch of extra ROTJ Flash Hiders that I need to get rid of so I came up the following idea
Host a Custom DL-44 Blaster Building Contest for 10 members minimum, 15 maximum
Here are the rules
Unfortunately the contest is only open to US members due to shipping constraints
If you are interested please post below and then send the following info to bobadebt@ec.rr.com
I have more delrin flash hiders then aluminum so the aluminum flash hiders will be allocated according to the date of the email request
This may seem self-serving but bear in mind that after I deduct shipping, the cost of the Trophy plaque and the prize award I will be losing a lot of money on the flash hiders.
3 Months may seem like a long time to build a custom blaster but I want everyone to spend quality time on their custom build so you have a truly unique blaster when you are done.
I had been thinking about the custom I built for the past year but never had the time to work on it, but during that time I collected greeblies and made changes (in my mind) to my original concept.

- Custom Grips made from unusual material such as faux ivory, pearl or metal
- Replacing the rear sight with some type of optic
- Painting the whole blaster a different color such as white for a rouge imperial trooper
- Heat sinks on the mag well, it looks great on the ANH versions and I miss it on the others.

- The entry fee for the contest is $50 and you get an Aluminum or Delrin ROTJ Flash Hider.
- You must build a custom DL-44 which means it must be Mauser based and feature the ROTJ Flash Hider.
- The time limit for the contest would be up to 3 months from the date the flash hiders are shipped.
- You can use any type of Mauser, Denix / Airsoft / Resin etc.
- The winner receives $100 prize and a Trophy Plaque to display their blaster.
