CTU Badges?

Wow

First I have to say that you did what you could with the badge and well done. Most don't understand the restrictions on badges these days and for you to get just the words "SPECIAL AGENT" on anything is a monstrous effort so well done.


Second, I have been away from the board for a long time. This happens in my line of work so forgive me.
I thought the board fell off the face of the earth but I see it just has a cosmetic lift.


Great job and if you are having trouble getting the correct ID holder/wallet try Perfectfit. I can give you a link when I find it to one of the retailers and they have sent many a fellow officer/Agent and ID in less than two week and have a cut out set up online so you can't get the wrong version sent to you. They also use the major badge makers badge id stock numbers to help you even more to get the correct version.


Very good job on this and anyone that can get a badge company these days that will make anything better is running up a dead tree.

Thank you for the kind words Ed, that was a much needed pick-up. I'm feeling a lot less burned out now, and greatly appreciate that.

I checked the site you recommended, but they unfortunately do not carry the correct wallet. One very close, but not quite right. I'm going to keep looking.

More news as it happens.

Even though this is something completely out of my control I still feel bad for the continued delays to everyone waiting on wallets. I've looked around, but since all the distributors use the same manufacturer there is nothing that can be done to get wallets faster. We'll all just have to be patient.

If I come across anything that can speed this up I'll jump on it, but it's doubtful at best.

Thanks for the continued patience gang. These'll be worth the wait, I'm certain of it.
 
I just wanted to say that DuneMuadDib's metal badges look GREAT. IMHO better then the one's used in the show.

Just in case you folks are wondering the real screen used badges said "Counter" "terrorist" "Unit" with the CTU in the middle and the # area was blank. All lettering was blue. That's all the badges said. And they weren't as nice looking as DMD's. They were pewter underneath the gold layer.

So getting one of DMD's is in my opinon a good purchase.

Did anyone notice if they een USED the metal badges in season 5? I don't think they did. Hmmmm.

I can't wait to get my undercover badge...it will look great with the USP Compact airsoft I purchased for display...

Yes, quite a few times. Chloe's wallet that she flashed to get into Palmer's building had the badge in it (the same style I offer), and Curtis wore the undercover badge most of the time he was out in the field.

I just recieved my undercover badge today, and it's great.. Dune, you did a great job on these. It looks very authentic. I'm showing this to a couple of friends this week, so hopefully there will still be some available if they want one also...
 
I'll see what i can do to actualy get a good pic of the real Jack Bauer screen used badge. Might have to settle for Curtis Manning's badge. But from what I haer they don''t keep track of who's is whos.


But to be honest I think DMD's look higher quality. And looks better. Of course MOST TV show props up close and in person are kinda crappy in quality.

Sorry for the double post. But figured this was entirley different from last post.

Here it is. Real deal screen used prop badge from "24". I am sorry for the watermark, but I can't remember if it was the 5th or 6th time that my research was used and abused. I hate when people take credit for or abuse other's information or hard work. I made the wtaremark regognizable to me, but not ruining the image. Remember folks, I had to get permission to post this.

PLEASE DO NOT use this image ANYWHERE other then the RPF.

Wow, that is ugly.

Nice find Jack. Cool, but the thing still looks like crap. Then again, not meant to be seen up close.
 
Heads up gang, the last of my surplus stock is sold.

Anyone interested in a possible second run of CTU badges should sign up here. This will only be open until I have the wallets to fill outstanding orders in hand, at which point I'm closing shop. That's about a month if things go as planned.
 
Yeah I would say a great deal of screen used TV and film props look like crap in person. That's why a couple posts above I said your's definatly looks better. I'd say stick with your design.
 
I like Dune's design better...Having "Counter Terrorist Unit" plus "CTU" on the badge is kinda redundant...
 
Agree'd. Plus his leaves room to change a field or two for job description. Plus I like the idea of the # being there. Although I am and always will be a sucker for the real thing. DMD makes one hell of a replica version. :thumbsup The screen used is, well..... boring.

Thanks guys. I feel the same way, but that's tooting my own horn and doesn't mean as much as the objective assessment of others.

This project is the bane of my existence, and I can't help but be reassured every time someone praises my work. Almost enough to make me not call it quits completely after the outstanding orders are filled.

Hope I don't get a big head from all the compliments...actually if I got a big head my over-inflated ego would just think it makes me look sexy ;)

YEAH RIGHT. Lol... I totally understand the trials of this type of project, it is not easy. I am just excited to get my set. :)
