CTU Badges?

Good news everyone.

/Professor Farnsworth

Wallets went in the mail to me on June 15th. With any luck I'll have them this week and all outstanding orders can go out next week.

*Fingers crossed*

Heads up guys.

Due to circumstances beyond my control all outstanding orders will ship tomorrow. The wallets arrived yesterday.

Confirmation of shipment will be sent individually after I return from the post office tomorrow.

Would post pics but can't find digicam.

Sorry one last time that it's taken this long to get it all finished up. You'll all forget about it once you have wallets in hand though, these things are cool.

I just got back from the post office, all outstanding orders have been shipped. I have sent a PM to all customers with orders that went out today as well, including delivery confirmation numbers for those orders sent UPSP Priority.

Anyone who gets one feel free to post up pics when you get it. I can't find my old digicam and my good one is on loan to my Dad while he's in Europe so I can't take pics of my wallet at the moment.

One last apology to everyone that had to wait for these, I feel terrible that you all had to wait this long to receive the wallets. Hopefully the final product will be worth the wait (I certainly think so, but I'm biased).

So good to finally have this monkey off my back.

To quote my favorite Sith Lord....YIPPEE.

Hi, I just watched the first season last week and now I'm dying for an ID. There is any chance to get one?. Even a printed one will be fine :D

Thanks in advance

My Wife and I just started watching show too, were currently watching season 2.

Dune: I'm interested the clip on IDs and I have PMed you.

For the metal badge I went to Officersstore.com and made up this:

I think it's a fair representation and the California State Seal in the center is symbolic but I would prefer to have the CTU emblem, does anyone know of any companies that make custom enamel emblems for badges?

A fair number of badge companies do custom seals. The problem is there's a $200 setup fee for the design, so if you're getting a one-off it's not worth it at all. When I did my run last year I had enough to absorb the cost into the sale of 15 different badges so it was a lot easier.

Is there any proof of the text on the screen used badges?

So far the only part I can make out is the CTU emblem in the middle

Someone posted a screencap last year that showed the text identical to yours save the 24 on the lower banner. Think it was Jack Bauer (the member).

Here's a shot of a licensed promotional product that was sold here in Japan last year. It's a CTU-style "pass case" for carrying train, subway, and bus passes. It has a rather nice, all-metal replica of the CTU badge on the cover.

The badge isn't designed to be removed from the outside of the leather case, but it doesn't take much to get it off. :)

The text is a match for the wording on the screen-used badge (including the blank bottom panel), as shown in shots that were posted here last year. (As I recall, the person who posted those shots asked that they not be re-posted. Maybe he'll visit the thread again and put them up once more himself.)

The Japanese promotional badge is very nice. The only problem is, I think it's undersized. It's about the size of an FBI badge, but the screen-used CTU badge looks to be closer to the size of an ATF badge.

I'm not at home right now, but I'll be able to take some measurements of the Japanese promotional badge and post them here tonight.

{EDIT} Thanks, Pilot, for hosting.

DuneMuadDib's old thread about his badge project had some nice pictures that confirmed that the screen-used badges had the same wording as that pass case. I think it was either too late to change the run, or no vendor would make the badge with that wording.

Too late to change the run unfortunately. If there's ever another run I'll do it with the correct text, but I'd need at least 15 people to sign up before it would happen.

Well, you only need 14 now. :D . I'm in for one

Dune: How much were your metal badges?

If you don't get enough to do the run would it be possible to order just the center CTU emblems?

Not possible to get just the emblem. Has to be a full badge.

When I did my run metal badges came either on the neck-hanger "undercover" rig for $90, or in a wallet with ID card for $120. That'd be the same pricing this go around. Clip-on laminated IDs were $15. I'm due at work soon so I can't scrounge up new pics of what the completed items look like yet or screencaps, but I'll post later tonight.

Have a look at Jack Bauer's big image of the screen-used badge on Page 6 in Post 113.
