Creature from the Black Lagoon has arrived!!

The crate was dropped off Friday afternoon. It was shipped all the way from Las Vegas. The total wieght in crate was 250 pounds.Made of thick fiberglass and stands on its own. The Creature stands a whopping 6' 7" .. I could barely fit the crate into my basement. Its in a raw out of the mold state. And to be honest, theres only a seam the fill in, some sanding and paint. I have done stuff this size before and its a piece of cake. Very limited number will be made and i think it was stated that once the molds show signs of break down there will be no more. So if you have the means, get it.

Welp. heres a few pics of it when it first arrived.. This is the one that Mark Alfrey sculpted and it is perfect. :thumbsup

The gillman has been my favorite monster since i was old enough to know what a monster was, MAN I"M HAPPY.

Hes now out of the crate,WHEW. took me about an hour to him get him out safely. I can't wait to get started on him..

I'm sculpting a custom movie shaped logo plaque for it and plan to send it out to Mark Alfrey,Ben Chapmen, Riccou Browning and the lovely Julie Adams to sign.



I'll post more pics of the finishing and painting process later.

OK, now you get this painted up and then you put my name in your will. I love it you are one lucky guy to have this fellow in your home great score. I've been a Creature fan forever, I've met all the cast members from the movie and they are all great folks. Myself last week I got a 16" Creature kit and have been working on it this weekend, I wonder if I stack 6 of these kits on top of each other will it look as good as your full size sculpt? LOL Please keep us posted on your progress this is very intresting to me.
