Out of the blue my son tells us, I want to be a GENTLEMAN Vampire for halloween. Oh and by the way there is a halloween DANCE....ahhh now I get it, we want to look dapper for the girlies... :D

OK so we need to get a cheap suit (Thinking of victorian era so that should make it interesting) and then go from there. My question is, he has braces, how do you do fangs with braces?!!? LOL, also , in regards to makeup, I am thinking just pale him out a bit but no appliances. Has anyone done a gentleman style vamp before? Any tips, tricks etc would be appreciated. FYI it has been DECADES since I have done any makeup, I am sure I can do it but I think I will practice a bit before hand :)

Well, you may want to post this in one of the costume threads instead of "General Modeling".

But to kick things off, for a Gentleman's Vampire, you can't get much better than Gary Oldeman!

DOH!, Sorry about that, I had 4 tabs open. I was thinking the Gary Oldman route but he says he wants a pinstriped suit with a fedora....Ought to be interesting.

myowntuxedo.com sells second hand tuxedoes fairly cheaply. You could sit him down in front of it and browse his size for the general style he's looking for.

If he's willing to wear something a little less realistic and a little more creative, you could paint his face to resemble a wide, fangy smile.

The braces really complicate false teeth - anything strong enough to eat in would be the devil to get on and off over the braces. You could mold a retainer out of thermoplastic and affix shaped false nails to the front for teeth (filing two of them to points and the rest down relatively flat,) and make an appliance he can pull out to eat. If you go that route, you should be able to find tutorials on youtube or pinterest or similar.
