Coollekotten's Art

I have been off this site for too long and really need to update this thread.
So, I shall be updating it then!

First, a couple of bios that I did some time ago but never reached the surface:

The top left one is how I viewed the Bone Grill Mask, before I knew what it looked liked.
The lower part bios are a couple of ideas that sprung up from the P2 bio. I really like the far right one, will use it on my viking pred on a drawing Im working on.

And I know this is not a Predator as we know it, but he is a predator nonetheless:

General Roth'h'ar Sarris of Fatu-Krey, the destroyer of Thermians!! :D
If you dont know, he is the villain in the movie Galaxy Quest from 1999. And I thought I could post it here also, as Stan Winston Studios worked on the movie with the costumes and props.

Hope you guys can excuse my absence with these drawings . I will hopefully get more time to work on the bigger projects that I know you want to see updates from.

Have a nice weekend everyone! :)

I like the big one in the middle i think its an awesome bio design, also the first one on the left, keep em coming, have you put names to them already?

I really dig the P2 skulls. Although all of them are frikkin' sweet. The General is way coo too. Always amazxing work girlfriend. Always amazing.

Thank guys!

Made007, I have not really named the bios, only kind of called them "skull of P2 1,2..." and "brother P2" (the two lowest ones). But they should have proper names, for now I simply call them ideas-sprung-up-from-the-awesome-and-rough-P2-bio-design. Simple ey?
And you're a sculpting machine! Im really looking forward of the terminator bio from Jasons design, it is a really really really great look on that one. Following that thread like hawk, I am!

Hope everyone is doing great around here, and hopefully you will be able to see some works of mine soon - school is taking up much time right now so not much left to do some drawing. :( Have not logged on here for about a week, felt so empty without you fellows!
Anyway, I AM working on a bigger drawing (when I get the time) that you have (kind of) seen before, but I erased most part of his legs and bigger part of his head because I wasnt satisfied with it. Think it is really going in the right direction now (dont worry NeoKazama, your pred is safe... for now).
Im thinking of posting the progress and finished version on the same time and no WIP pics of it. Think it will be the best. No, Im sure it will be the best way to display it. :) Then you get the whole story of it.

Have a nice week everyone!

Made007, Bubba/Boba Pred 2 in the middle is a second version of the one I posted in the "Make a wish" project. I like that design, its so smooth. Maybe not fitted for a predator, but something else? Changed the cheeks on this one from the first version.

Tomek, there will be no WIP pictures of that bigger one, but there is a few already posted (but no more pics since I changed it). Which drawing Im talking about can be figured out... mohaha. :ninja:

Again, thank you guys! :D

Idk why you say that, because it looks killer on a predator, but it looks like a badass predator would wear it

Thanks Made007. :)

Predator X98, Im still training in different drawing techniques and been drawing for a looong time. You keep on drawing and it will take you where ever you want it to. :) My suggestion is to practice on the human body, proportions, still life/nature and so on. Watching how other people draw can also give you some ideas and tips, but dont stray too much from your own style. And whatever you do, dont practice face nor proportions on anime/manga figures and characters... they will ruin everything for you (not even sure you like that, but still).

So!
Have anything happened since my last update? Well, on the secret drawing I have redrawn the legs and one foot. Yes, one foot. The other one is such a bore... I cant get the texture right its really annoying. I have also started tracing out the background. So the predator himself is pretty much 90% complete, he just needs a left foot, darkening and an environment. Then it will be done. School schedule might allow me to draw end of next week, holding my thumb nothing will get in the way from some drawing frenzy of mine.

Not much else to say, but
HAVE A SPLENDID WEEK EVERYONE! :D

Good to see your art work Nicole, always inspires me.
Love the Bios, cool variation on the hunters "lid"

Two weeks since last update, so think I should write something. :)

Last week I finally had some time to spend on the secret drawing. I have completed the predators feet and re changed what he was carrying. Now it looks a lot more like a significant character then some random person he could found on the street. Did I say too much there? :ninja:
The predator himself is now 95% done, he only need some darkening. His surroundings are taking form. I will go with a more simple background and try a style I have not tried before. If it looks like ***** - thats the reason. I honestly could not care less about the background at the moment. I have envision it hundreds of ways and everything falls apart when I trace it out. I have put him in a city - didnt work. Put bodies around him - looked awful. Put bodies in a pile - didnt work either. I even once had a dog in the picture. WHY?? o_O Therefore I will go with a more "silhouette" technique on this one. I think it will come out nicely. If it doesnt... **** it. I'll post it and be done with it, moving on to other awaiting projects that needs my attention.

What other projects might that be?
> Well, Im currently crocheting a pillow. :) Not that that interests you guys... it will be red, orange, sand, green, lavender and blue. And yellow. Its cute.
> NeoKazamas/Chris drawing
> Vikingpred and secret predator
> A design of an axe etc. for Eaglewoods contest for a free Mjölner
> Repainting two masks - one from Uratz and Mr. Giggles bio (the paint started to come off from the edges of the bio, so Im stripping it clean from paint and doing another round on it, trying a new primer and paints)
> And a itsy bitsy tiny sculpt (my first!)

I think that was all... for the moment. At least what would interest you fellows here. :)

And thank you Tusky for the nice comment!
Take care everyone! :D

Some sculpture-curious what You gonna use...

I am using Super Sculpey at the moment. I bought it about a month ago but didnt have time to start anything, then when I got a minute over I started working on it. I think I redid the sculpt about 5 times until I got the shape that I wanted. I have a crown and brow and part of the mandibles. I will post a topic of this later on when I have something more to show. It has been a lot fun to sculpt so I am sure it will be more in the future, but for now - small sculpts, not bigger ones. :p Need to learn how to walk first. :)

Thank you everyone!
