Coollekotten's Art

Yep, I gonna leave you hanging there.... oh the agony! :D

And yes, I do have cheesy lines in my little story. P1 was full off cheesy lines and I just feel that Giggles has that kind of persona. Whenever I thought of him, I just felt like he did not really take himself too seriously and wanted to have fun - more or less. Another thing that I noticed when writing, was that I could not use any words like "omg" "oh bloody hell" "by Merlins beard" and so on so I had to invent my own (sort of). That gave birth to "would laugh his quills off". Hopefully it will catch on. Or not.

Skullsplitter,
I managed to take one (hopefully) better photo of the drawing you were asking for. Here you go:

Part Three of the story is nearly done. I have some things to work on. I started to draw a kind of group shot of all the hunters together and now I feel so bad for killing Khá in the first chapter! Gaaaah! Which led me to start thinking about the other hunters... and now I might take the story a bit further but that is ONLY going to happen if I get the time for it. So dont expect any more storys in awhile. When time is due... it will happen.

Have a lovely day, all! o_O

So, it took a bit longer then I wanted, but I was not too happy about one part and wanted to elaborate it, then something else came in the way and I just gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah..
.

And now when that is out of the system, here is my third and last part of my story of Mr. Giggles: DA page or straight ahead, el capitano!
I have some ideas to further this story along, but as previously mentioned; it will only be done if time permits.

If you're not intersted in reading I do have a few drawings to display that are in the story. So you who have not read it might not get the whole picture... but still, they are worth showing.
But, as I do not want to spoil the reading for you who DOES read the story, I wont post the drawings until... lets say the start of next week or something. :p

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Have you seen the Lords of dogtown? lol Thats what his new method of movement reminded me of. =D

I like His claws

The artwork is outstanding :p

T-800, never heard of it, but you made me curious so I went and found a trailer for it and - no, have not seen it, BUT I get the hint.

And thanks Marcus!

So here comes the drawings that can be found in the story:

So... you know the way home?

If you want to find out the meaning of these drawings, I would suggest you read the short story... yes, I am that boring and evil today. Mohaha!
Hope you enjoy.

damn dude you are an awsome artist. :D
these are probably some of the best custom predator drawings ive ever seen
on thehunterslair.
nice job ;)

These are all really great!!! Question though...on some of these you have a really nice textured look going on with the graphite...what weight paper do you use? also..really digging the belt on Irmagaard...i think thats what you called her lol

THANK YOU ALL!
I appreciate every comment and critic I get, ideas are always welcomed to improve my drawings etc.

Kala, I usually draw on paper that weights about 180g/m^2 (or 85lbs), the three latest Giggles pics though, is on lighter paper, only 135g. The heavier paper gives a more roughed look then the lighter, not really sure what I like the best actually. But I like to keep my drawings on "better" paper, so to speak, for time sake.
The pattern on the belt on Irmagaard is actually real. I only changed it slightly. Where I come from we have our folk costumes and my mother actually has that pattern on her dress/purse. Im planning on having the same on mine (if I learn how that damn inkle loom works!).

Marcus, which leg are you thinking about?
Mohahahaaaaa
ok, he lost his left leg before his right leg, which you can read about in the story I posted about him. His left leg got lost during I-have-no-idea. :p Maybe in a battle between some ugly beast, or some explosives gone wrong, or he might have left it behind in his mothers.
Dont get dirty minds, I mean that he might have been born without his left lower leg. Nothing else. Wierdos.
But being born with a handicap might have made him an outcast and nonworthy of becoming a hunter... hmmm. I wonder how they would see about these things, any thoughts? But no, I have not really decided on how he lost his left light. But in the story, I am (kind of) suggesting that he lost it during a battle, so Im leaning towards that.

Current works: I have some more work in storage but I wont be showing any WIPs of those. BUT! I can tell you that one is of a drawing that I put on hold months ago. So you will se a resurrection soon. I noticed on my DA that it still got alot of favs and I believe that YOU GUYS are worth more then some half-done drawing of mine.
I will also be making some ornament/accessories ideas.

Again, thank you and have a nice week everyone!

Thanks Nicole, i was just curious cuz a pred with no legs just seems really unique and the fact that he has a slight different hunting style is very cool!

Haha!
Well, I should add then after this story, he HAS legs. Artifical ones, like his left leg in Part 1-2.
I dont think it would (in the long run) be good to have this kind of movement (two spheres instead of legs). As I wrote in the story, it is only for the situation he is in that forces him to make these improvised spheres to help him keep moving forward - seeing as loosing both his artifical left leg and later his right makes it difficult to walk around - thus in turn, forcing him living up high in trees with the spheres providing help for him to move on ground when that time comes. The artifical legs can of course be taken off and these spheres will be available for usage. That was a complicated explanation...

Thats so cool! I would have no idea how to work a loom haha I like the heavier paper for blending and things...you get some really nice effects. Always fun to try out different materials!

Finally an update!
And it is a resurrection!

Oh, I wonder what it can be...

it is...

Long time Sally!

long_time_sally_by_coollekotten-d3bzezd.jpg

DONE!!
I'm not drawing ANYMORE on this one. I will not!

And with that said, I'm so happy that I actually finished her!
I just felt like an ass for not finishing this one. I just didnt find the right way to continue with her. I tried to change the forhead - it went wrong and looked funky. Then it was time to do spots or patterns - looked horrible. And then the chin and mandibles... not discussing that one.
So I put this drawing aside for months. I guess the wake up call was when so many people faved it on my DA, so I just kicked myself and decided to resurrect her. I'm glad I did.

And I named her Sally as a hint to the song "Long tall Sally" by Little Richard in P1. "Long TIME..." is because... she took a looong time to finish.

Hope you like her! ;)

Oh my... how lovely it is.

Simply amazing display of pure unhinged illustration prowess. Looks like you had a purpose to get this one the way you liked it and succeeded in your mission.

Great work!!!

Great as always Nicole.
Plus i just finished another drawing after using your advice you gave me over december.
I'll post a topic soon as!
Nicole because you draw so awesome ! Could you please draw Giggles fighting a bad blood, you dont have to i just thought it could be an epic piece to the collection?
Thanks,
