Is it not kind of ironic that a time that wants you to cherish your loved ones and take it easy, drinking glögg/mulled wine beside the christmas tree, always end up being rather hectic?
But I fully understand you Jason, I believe almost everyone here feels the stress of the holiday. Everything needs to be done and that quick. But dont stress too much, its supposed to be a happy holiday. And that goes out to all of you!

And a drawing! With the whole Mr. Giggles mask in the works by Xdmray I got inspired to do another drawing of him, this time unmasked.

I also created a little backgroundstory for him (in my head) and I came to the point that he lost both of his legs on a hunt.
So there he is, on the ground with bleeding legs and the big monster standing above him, debating wether or not to use his bombgaunt and end it all. The monster makes a leap and in a split second Ka'gi (Giggles predator name) picks up his spear and pierces it trough the monsters throat as its falling towards him.
Im still working on the story, I see a comic in the future! If I could draw like that, that is... but we will see.

Mih mih miiih....

I wanted to draw the scene when the predator lifts Arnold up against the tree and scans him. So I started tracing out the bio for him but it did not look right. This was frustrating, so I erased it... and I took the decision to draw the predator without his bio on. Still the same pose and all, but without his helmet.

And no, the shoulder cannon is not correct, I know that. When I looked for reference pictures of the P1 I realised how little images I have on him. But the P2 I have loads of. Its more of a sketch anyway... but I think it came out all right.

Pinhead, actually, I was thinking the same thing about Giggles. That he could just remove and change his legs to whatever lenght and style he wanted. That would be rather cool. Maybe the robot legs would enable him to jump higher, run faster or at least kick a man to the moon. That would be something...

In other words, I have begun to write a bit on the story and traced out some possible scenes. BUT!! I lack the skill of drawing quick and comic-style, so you have to bear with scenes that looks rushly made in between good ones with more details. But I dont think that will be a problem. I might also mix more text with better drawings, depending on mood. I just can not draw sometimes.
And because english is NOT my first language, you have to bear with some sentences that might not be correctly worded. Again, not a problem I think you will notice.

Ok,
So Im still debating whether or not to start a new topic of the story of Giggles, or just post it here in my gallery. Im leaning for the last option. Im also debating how I should present it, but Im thinking a pdf file for you to download (if I can do that). I have written it in a kind of way that makes it easy to read and mixed with drawings, in other words, I dont want to copy+paste all the text here.

I am done with part one (I have decided to cut it up in three) and it takes about five minutes to read (unless you're going to stare at the crappy drawings I did for part one. Part two and three are better, I promise!).

I will upload part one in the next few minutes or days. Depending how I choose to upload it. HaHA!

And Daman, you're absolutely right. When I first drew Giggles I didnt think so much about the armor or such, I was training skintexture and spotting and then the bio got most of the attention.
But I liked what I had going and decided to investigate further in of what kind of character he was. And then you wanted to make the bio and got my creative juices flowing again so I ended up with another picture and now a story to top it off.
I would like to see him as a character with humour - although not always intentionally but for what he has been through and so on.
Why homour you may ask? Well, the first predator movie had some cheesy lines and low humour and often when you see the predator he is or acts very serious (except at the end with the trap and he sits there going "na-a! I wont go in there Dutchy-boy"). But then comes P2 and you got to admit that everything doesnt really go smooth for him with D Glover at his heels. Add a character that is (or has gotten) a bit layback and doesnt take himself too serious and you got Mr. Giggles. That is at least how I want to picture him.

Kyra de Psycho, YES! You should definitely put up some of your artwork. It is always fun to see new drawings in here.

I have small sketches only, nothing big and Im not sure I will do any more of that character either. He does look like a hippo! I started with the head and then made the tusks, then it looked like a wild boar and then I added the eyes and nose and ended up with an angry hippo...

But I will see if I can get a better pic of it, looking at it now and it does look a bit dark. I can perhaps borrow a better camera and make some magic with it, will see tomorrow.

T-800, I am p r e t t y proud of that abdomen too. But not his chest and throat/neck... gah. But it is a learning experience.
