Coollekotten's Art

Python, I am posting this little image to show you the steps I do to get that effect on the bio.
Thank you very much, I will have to give that a try. I love the effect you got on that bio and I like the fur over the shoulder, she looks like an old fashioned nomadic Hunter.

Have you ever drawn a female predator, without a bio?
I think i will sculpt a female mask next, i dont know yet
I have drawn a few female predator faces, but they are all about 1-2 years old. So no recent ones. I guess Long Time Sally is the most known one of the ones I have made. I do have some ideas though that have not made it to paper yet, because I've been drawing so little this year.
It would be great seeing more female predator masks around, it's definitely a market that has not been explored enough.

Python, I think layers on layers is the secret behind some nice drawing effects, as well as painting. PredatrHuntr/Jason posted a great turorial on painting a bio, and there he shows how layers upon layers of paint can create great effects and depth to the bio. Do you draw any?  :)

I used to a lot, but as is often the case I stopped and haven't done any in several years. I am thinking of getting back into it though so I've asked santa for some decent paper and drawing pencils ;) Predators, Aliens and aviation were always my thing, I'll probably branch out now I'm more mature however and I always enjoy learning new things. I'm starting airbrushing as well, I picked up an Harder and Steenbeck Infinity 2in1 as another hobby I fell away from at the same time was kit building (airfix etc) which I'm also starting up again, I guess they go hand in hand. I love your stuff though, I'm going to try and blatently copy that effect on the bio ;) I love the design of it as well by the way, a nice twist on the P2 almost.

Ive been looking at deviant art, and doing sketches of my own but so far i dont have anything worth of sculpting, looking forward to see what you come up with, your a great artist :D

December 2013?! That was the last time I posted here?! Jeeeeez...
Sorry for that.  :( I've been feeling up and down for a long time and to make a long story short - I have not been drawing much due to feeling down, neither have I had the energy to update my topics or read any of you fine members topics, builds and storys. It feels like it's getting a lot better though, but very slowly.
I now have a job in an archive, 50% and am studying 50% to learn more of archive and get the education I actually need to call myself an archivist. I have worked as an assistant before but now it's the real deal.

Anyway, I will not bore you with archive-talk. I got a drawing to show you. It is the final version of the WIP I've posted before. I will not finish the blank parts though, I want to start other drawings and think this drawing has taken enough hours from me. I do also have some sketches of gauntlets and ideas but will most likely not post them yet, maybe finished versions later on. Dont know when that will be though, seeing as I dont get that much time to draw.

With that said, I am hoping my time here will be more frequent then it is now but dont be mad if you send me a mail and I dont answer you right away.
Take care everybody!

Beautiful work! I know how it feels not drawing for awhile. I havn't sat down and focused on a painting since my kids were born. About 6 years ago. Life sometimes gets in tbe way of what we love to do and that can weigh us down. Hang in there, and glad you're finding a way out of your rut. :)

Glad to hear you're boosting your education. Nothing feels better than learning new things!
