Hi!, I had the idea for a thread listing all the props made from found items or in other words taken from something else and turned into a prop instead of being made elusively for the movie. List the prop and what it was made of. I'll start with what I think is probably the most well known of the found parts props, The original Trilogy Lightsabers of Luke, Obi-Wan and Vader made of various parts. I think most people here know what these were made of but just in case,

Luke's saber was made from a graflex camera flash a bubble strip from an exactra 20 and some plastic cabinet tracks.
Obi-wan's was made of a ww1 grenade a derwent jet engine balance pipe a exactra 20, motorola transistors a armitage shanks starlit sink know and a booster from a .303 ANM2 machine gun flash hider a graflex clamp and exactra bubble strip again.
Vader's was made form a bubble strip, cabinet t tracks and an MPP camera flash unit.

Another cool prop made from a found item (discovered by Therpf member Replicant) in my opinion is the eye of the serpent from Conan the Barbarian, made from a crystal waterford amethyst egg paperweight.

Beka hero laser from Andromeda. Made from an Advair Diskus inhaler.

Wow, I had no idea about those, I never would've guessed about the I Dream of Jeannie bottle, Its so central to the show. Still have yet to see andromeda, its on my list for sure though. Don't know if this counts but the statues in clockwork orange (you know the ones) are by an actual artist and were found for the film. The artists name was Herman Makkink and the names of his pieces were"****** Unlimited"******-unlimited.jpg and "Rocking Machine"makkink_2797908b.jpg
