This flick looks chalk-full of cool new toys. The Holy Shotgun. The thing that holds the dragon's breath. All sorts of cool things.

So, anybobody got pictures or leads or ideas? Anyone?

Haven't heard a thing about this movie until saw the promos.

Based on a comic book, right?

Just saw the commercial again, you mean the shotgun in the shape of the cross?

If you mean dragons breath in that, I recall reading about actual shotgun shells called Dragonsbreath that fires a wad of phosphorous that ignites and shoots a twenty foot flame. Pretty unstable stuff from what I've heard though.

In the flick (and the comic) John Constantine is a guy invovled in the occult. So when I say dragon's breath, I mean actual dragon's breath. Cool, huh?

Well, I know that the Hand Prop Room here in LA did the Holy Shotgun for the film, as well as several other prominent props, I'm sure (no, I don't have a list of what, exactly).

I have a good friend who's worked at HPR for a couple of years now, and I remember him telling me about the shotgun and how impressed he was by its construction (he wasn't directly involved in its creation) - I guess it's put together from various different components... I seem to recall one of the components being an antique microscope, or something along those lines (this was some time ago, so my memory is kinda' fuzzy).

And before the question is asked - no, there's no way of getting any photographic reference. Prop Shops are generally not in the business of sharing stuff like that - sorry.

theres an add in the new Toyfare showing a licensed one coming out with a cool display stand.

"This is will retail for $350 and ship in a full colour box with a certificate of authenticity."

Yeah, I heard it's made up of a lot of different parts and that a fan-made replica would PROBABLY be impossible.

Cool trivia: I guess the thing's so heavy-what with the gold plating and whatnot-that Keanu had trouble lifting the thing with one hand.

Yeah, bump !!!

I just saw the movie and I really liked it, despite its smaller flaws (pacing, use of characters etc, just my euro-2cts, anyway).

But the props are really cool.

We have the :

- Holy shotgun
- The old priests Pendant
- Balthasars coin ( I am sure it is one of Judas´ traitor money

)
- Spear of destiny
- Pendant from the exorcism
- Constantines watch
- Constantines antuique (?) lighter (just in case you left the movie early, after the credits have ended, it is featured in a close-up in a veeery neat and a bit moving scene, a beautiful lighter, really)
- Papa Midnights scorpion pendant
- the dragons breath
- the unholy bible

But it looks like the prop galore will start when the dvd is out, and I hope that we get many special features on that one.

But if anyone knows a bit more about some of the stuff, feel free to post

The shotgun can be purchased here: http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=DC24336&variation=&lg=1&

now pay attention to the description, it says it is cast off a stunt shotgun, and becasue of that, the amount of detail is greatly decreased, because i know there was way more detail on the gun in the movie then there is on the replica

so seeing the movie tonight, i thought it was great,
so how bout the match box, with some noise maker of some sort in it for the beetle?
the holy water containers reminded me of xmas tree ornaments,
the psychic cards to get in the club would be cool,

his watch is an expensive one, its an oris
heres one that if its not the one its close $852

Yeah !!! During a movie I said to myself "Don´t forget to put it on the list !" and bang! forgot about it ! But it was quite late when I compiled the list.

Sohooo, anybody going to make them ? Big problem is, IIRC, those brass knuckles are forbidden in Germany, but I´ll worry about that when someone has made them

And yes, the Holy Water containers are important.
But of course, the Holy Cross for the water (forgot the name of it) is important, too.

The shotgun is very cool. That replica is sad. Why make a piece like that attached to the base? It costs way too much for a cast piece like that. Too bad.

Everything from the movie's so ornate. I haven't seen one prop from the flick that doens't have some kind of engraving or etching on it. Even John's lighter is all fancy-like.
