I really liked the NBC Constantine show (aside from the pilot), and I thought I'd show you what I'd put together so far for my costume:
(Damn, I thought I'd changed that last one to "Petty Dabbler")
The lighter I picked up at Aliexpress. The story behind that particular one is I found the tv version offered on the RPF (which is magnificent) to be a bit out of my current price range
. So, I ordered a pretty inexpensive film version, an they didn't ship it for almost three weeks. So, I cancelled the order, and got a slightly more expensive version that had more reviews on it. The original seller about a week later declined my cancellation (?), and sent it anyway. So now a few weeks later I have this one, and the second one should have arrived by now and hasn't, and I had to open a dispute so my purchase protection wouldn't run out on that one. Sigh.
The face of the lighter isn't bad for what I paid for it ($12, btw) but the side...
Lets just say it doesn't exactly match its promised pictures. They managed to even misspell the phrase, which was spelled correctly in the original pictures that I realize now were stolen from somewhere else. :facepalm. Oh well,you get what you pay for. Maybe the second one won't disappoint, if it ever gets here.
I'm just starting to read the trade paperbacks, so if anyone has any suggestions for props I should add, let me know. Oh, and feel free to give me a call, you'll probably get my answering machine...
