I believe TimDrakeRobin is referring to the number of pages back this thread had fallen from the top page. He feels better seeing "Constantine Brass Knuckles" right there on Page One... and I do, too.

well aren't they GOLD in the movie?
Cold casting them I think would be best. You can get the metal powder in them and not worry about the shrinkage issue. Plus cost would be a lot cheaper then brass. Metal prices have gone up and brass is not as cheap as it once was. Another option is gold plated "pewter" (which is a TIN alloy).
Make a master, make a mold (or two of the master). One mold could be used to make wax patterens for casting in metal. (Now as for casting in metal Brass will have to have runners or spurs on it which are a lot of work to clean up..thick items like this are tricky some time to cast. They can shrink in places.)
The other can be used for make cold castings.
Its a Holy "paper wieght"
One other way to make this is to "skin" the sides onto a frame. Have the sides CNC or engraved on sheet stock and then soldered on to the frame. Then gold plated.

We are proving this out in the aluminum first and then on to the brass.
The wait is almost over.....
We are moving along fine and hopefull we should have some done this weekend. We are planning to be in the shop all day Saturday.
IN regards to this casting comment/question--I will be making a mold of these and making some in the AMT metal . When I get them done I will put them side by side with the real brass ones and you can tell me if you see the difference.
That should be happeningin the next week or so also.

I'm afraid to ask how long it took to mill out that pattern... And we're not even up to the letters or crosses yet. I'm beginning to think that metal-plated castings are the most economical way to go. Am I right?

This project is by far the best seen in a long while... I loved this movie, and I love this prop. You guys are doing a great job with this so far, and I can't wait to be able to slip my fingers into those. I've been getting really anxious for you guys to finish this. Great job...

I am loving the Knuckle progress.
and on the gun side,
I've got one that almost looks as good as the movie one lol. Almost.
Although it isn't as shiney (which I actually prefer, I didnt think it should have been as shiney as it was) and I still need to add the Cross Sight.
