Hi all,
With a couple of hours free this morning, and a lack of ongoing projects, I got to thinking how I could fill my time.
I've seen a lot of original builds and 'steampunk' type guns being built, so I thought I'd make use of some of the junk and greeblies that have been buiding up in my garage.
I've been buying junk from 'car boot' sales here in the UK (what you guys across the pond would probably call a swap meet - but think a little more 'trashy'
) including old hard drives, electronics and toy guns.
I thought I'd start with using an old airsoft M16-type rifle as a base
I first stripped it to see how things go together and ascertain what I could safely remove
I reassembled the carrier housing and cut off the carry handle and some plastic surrounding the base of the metal inner barrel.
I had some discs from some old Jazz drive cartidges that looked pretty cool, so I bored out the centres and fitted them over the metal inner barrel.
I found an old suppressor, stock and other bits and bobs from other guns I've used before and just laid stuff out to get an idea of how things might end up going together
That's all I've managed this morning, but I'm thinking about adding a foregrip behind the suppressor, plus lots of other greeblies to make it look more futuristic.
Any comments, ideas and constructive criticisms most welcome
