Ok here goes......
Would love the help of all the eagle eyes here to decide if I have found this.
I am 90% sure and have tried to do my homework.
1.the eye appears different in the breif scene where Conan steals it.I believe this is the unaltered found item.
2.the version that is worn has been ground down to be flatter on both sided I believe.
This version also appears to vary in color from dark red to clear.I believe the clearer color is correct and the rest is lighting or effects.
If someone can provide a HD cap that would be great!
Here is my found item.this is a blurry pic.I set it on a red LED flashlight for this shot.
No photoshopping.Note the outline and pattern.
Here is a clear shot.

The Eye of the Serpent was
actually a purple paperweight, a
prop gem that Ron Cobb
considered a major disappointment.
“It was a disaster,” said
Cobb. “Originally I drew up
exactly how I wanted the jewel to
look. I consulted with Milius on
this and we both decided how we
wanted it. We were very detailed
about it.
“I then gave the designs to Nick
Allder, but technique after
technique failed to produce
anything that looked good. They
were terrible. We were getting
close to shooting and Milius didn’t
like them either. I thought I could
rely on the wonderful technology,
fantastic plastics and all that,
but—nothing. So I launched an
emergency trip all over Madrid,
trying to find something. We went
all over the place, jewelers,
chandelier makers, everywhere.
“Finally, I said, ‘******, what
about paperweights?’ Raffaella De
Laurentiis promptly found this
paperweight shop, I don’t know
how. She bought this ghastly
purple thing and Milius decided to
use it. We changed it into an egg
shaped thing, drilled a hole in it
and added fiber optics. It grows on
you, I suppose. But basically I
miscalculated the kind of work you
can get from the effects
department. It should have been a
very important prop.
Peter Kuran’s VCE company
was called-in to provide
postproduction animated effects
around the jewel, enhancing the
gem’s lustre with a deep hypnotic
glow.
