Commander Bacara bucket

I havent posted here in a while. I guess you can say ive been honing my skills in the garage making all sorts of goodies. This Bacara bucket is one of the projects ive been working on. It started off as a EPIII TC bucket i got in a trade. It was in such bad shape i decided to butcher it and make this out of it. Its like a Vader helmet as far as how it was made in two parts. An outer dome and an inner (Face) helmet. The original sculpt was so heavy i had to make a mold of both parts and slush cast it out of Smoothcast Roto. Eventually i made the whole armor suit to match. Here are the pics.

The next part was painfull. Haveing to cut the helmet in two in order to mold both halves.:cry

Beautiful! That's stunning work!

Care to discuss your process? I can spot the styrene pieces but did you use Bondo to flesh it out? I for one would like to see the "In-betweens"!

I've trooped with Andy in this costume, and it looks absolutely beautiful in person. The attention to detail is amazing, and that weathering job...WOW! I'll say it again, bro--Fantastic work!:thumbsup

Yeah... I guess you could say that. :)

Incredible work, EVO3! :eek :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

I'd love to see a shot of what you started with, as well as any other process shots along the way. This is the best Bacara I've ever seen, too. Beautiful build, and what an awesome weathering job! :love

Agreed! I had the opportunity to see some of this project being worked on in his garage....perfectionist is to say it lightly. A true +++AAA+++ prop builder! To see this up close would blow your mind.

I usually don´t care too much for clones because of the wide variety of what is out there, and hence making it so darn hard to keep track on what clone´s got what name etc. etc.

But THAT is one awesomely done helmet, not to mention the costume. The paintjob is incredibly well done, and the proportions of the armour are downright dead on !

If I´d ever do a clone, it would be commander cody or commander baccara.

Great work !!!

Michael
