Coming up with a bat suit of my own

Anyone agrees this snake eyes armor would look good for a bat suit? I find the Arkham game suit too robotic and bulky

So I ordered the brown belt above, and will change the buckle.

Then I found this pretty uneven armour piece, bought it a very long time ago. it’s from the g i Joe snake eyes movie. I’ll cover it with charcoal coloured adhesive fabric. But I have to cut the sides, what would you guys use for that tool wise?

Welp I came across this lovely buckle that could be printed and used tmbut there’s no slit on the sides to slip a nylon belt into it. Great. Guess that could be drilled after being printed.

So I bought this belt.. even at its widest it doesn’t fit lol. Yeah I have to loose weight. And make the belt longer really in a way that won’t show.

Then I found something I bought a very, very long time ago. Wasn’t all that symmetrical, the details were a bit iffy, no disrespect to who made it. I took the exacto knife and made it as symmetrical as possible. Besides I’ll be covering every armor piece with charcoal or black adhesive fabric. And yes it’s a snake eyes armor. Impressively thick, it would really stop a knife for what it’s worth.

My wife seems more open to the idea of me making a suit, since I can justify it by wanting to celebrate Halloween as Batman next year with my daughter.

Hope you’ll forgive for being camera shy. Who knew knee protection could look and fit so well for the shoulders. Yes all the batarangs including the logo are metal. No the belt still doesn’t fit, working on that lol.

Hello everyone, it’s been a while, so I’m slowly and somewhat surely going forward with my costume and I made a few purchases since my last post.

I could really use your help for a few things…among them the neck piece.
- I found my old TDK cowl, it’s still looks great, but it’s very dusty and besides, I’ll probably be purchasing a Ben Affleck Batman cowl, the one that wasn’t used because of the movie never got made.

- I just received the neck armour from the Batman movie as you can see. It’s pretty beefy and it looks great, but I had it made from pretty rigid plastic and now my big noggin can’t fit through it. so either I’m gonna use my heat gun, to try to loosen it so that my head can fit through it or I’m gonna have to use a small saw and put a dent in the back part to get to get it can bend a bit more…

- I’ll be printing some gauntlets, I didn’t really decide which model yet so I just use the ones I had.

- Of course, I’ll be having some armour in the front. I’ll be probably getting a modified version of the new Batman movie. I’ll add a link below.

- I also just receive a 3 D printed Batman 89 buckle, which can open and close once I manage to assemble it. The most worrying part is having to remove the buckle from the actual tactical belt, and put this this one instead…hopefully I don’t screw it up.

I ended up realizing that I’m really combining things from all the Batman movies, at least the ones the one that I’ve enjoyed, and putting a spin of my own on it.
for instance the light behind the logo. I think it gives a cool effect

I'm liking hour mash-up approach! The design I've seen for the Affleck cowl - I think it was concept art - was really cool. I'm looking forward to your progress.
