Comic-style Crossbones mask

I was commissioned to make this mask for a client. He requested specifically that the white portions of the mask be made of a hard substance. I opted to sculpt the master in oven bake sculpey, and then mold & cast with Smoothcast 300.

I was very happy with the result.



I gave the mask several washes of thinned down black tamiya, then dried excess with a thinner soaked rag.


The inspiration for the piece...



I then glued it to a black, zip-up zentai mask using PL PREMIUM and allowed to cure.
