This will be on display at SDCC at the "Super Modified Studios" booth. I didn't design the toy, just did the paint job.

This one is in 3D. You need the red/blue glasses to see it.

Thanks guys! I asked people in person what it looked like it was made of and most said wood. Soooo. I added some silver to certain areas and added a few more gunshots to the left leg.

I'll post some pics when I get them off the camera.

I concur, the paint job is simply awesome.

One question though. What is it and where is it from?

Not recognizing the design at all.

damn !thats really awesome, the weatheroing is great, looks life like. great job!

and where and how much do those kits cost?

I've seen a lot of crappy beater trucks and abused and repainted industrial vehicles in my time... and your paint job is dead on beautiful!

I love the wear marks, the flaking, the peeling...it's better than life-like. If that was a real object here in Indiana, the only thing it'd be lacking is RUST.

If you don't mind, I'm going to save these images for future weathering reference pix. :)

Hey thanks for the comments!! I actually added another subtle round of weathering and I'll try to post some pics once I get all of the off my camera.

It's a designer toy made by http://supermodifiedstudios.com/

I met the guy last year at Comicon and he asked if I'd customize one for the convention this year. It's on display at his booth in the Urban Vinyl Section.

I'm happy because less than 5 minutes after he displayed it, it sold!!!

I have another blank and I really want to spend more time on this one. It will be kit-bashed with hoses and stuff.

Thanks!

I saw a paintup of a Dora Rail Gun at a model show here and it looked awesome! Which Karl do you have? Were all 6 the same?

There were two different versions, the early one and an upgraded later model (they differ through the chassis and the gun mainly). I have the 1:35 scale from Trumpeter which I built as the early version.

Awesome paintjob! I really dig the combination of the heavily weathered, realistic paint job on the extremely stylized body. Very nice!
