Mine is still in UK customs, FX kit from Roman and my crystal chamber from rudy , Two weeks they have had it ......boo hoo :(

Yea I don't know whats up with customs!!! Not only this run but other things I have sent are taking forever. according to the Post office they said customs is being real strict on what is being sent and they are looking at everything more closely.

Not that it helps you, but mine arrived very quickly and I'm pretty sure I didn't pay any charges...

However, I think another package from the States mah have fallen foul...

Everything arrived safe and sound today, no thanks to the UK imperial customs....many many thanks to Spirt of ob1 for doing such a cool run....:thumbsup

I did some more work on my OWK. I added a tri cree led (blue,blue,white) in the emitter. Put in a NB-3 sound board, a bass speaker, due to space limitation a li-on 18500 battery and a new crystal. Also under the back transistor is a 2.1 charge port for the battery and the transistor is the kill key. The front transistor is a real one. Here are some pics. Looks awesome! I'm right in the middle of doing almost that same exact setup on mine! NB V3, Bass Speaker, 18500 rechargeable battery, real Transistors - High/Low, spring assisted Crystal Chamber, 10mm Royal Blue LED for Crystal, and a Custom Tri-Cree with Royal Blue/Royal Brue/Amber in Emitter. The Amber will obviously be for Flash on Clash. Nothing's set in stone, but I was talking with DarthRyo about making a chassis that will fit everything in the pommel, booster and clamp for people with Romans FX OWK and Spirits CC. I know he will kill it and make something really clean and since the 2nd run looks like it's pretty huge, we're gonna need it. So, we'll see!?!? I will post pics when it's all finished.

I hope DarthRyo can pull it off, but from my experience in doing mine there was just enough room for the board, battery, speaker and wires. The NB-3 inside the clamp area with the recharge port, the battery is in the booster and the speaker just fits inside the pommel with the speaker facing towards the front of the light saber.

Another thing you we need to be careful of is that you need to have the wire coming from the tri-cree to be long enough to allow it to open up for the reveal and also have enough room inside the grenade for the wire fit when it is closed.

Any change you can share build schematics for us noobs? How did you mount the speaker? Using TCSS parts?

I used the wiring diagram from this thread http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=255359&page=6 scroll down to post 144 from Shoot2Thrill468. The Tri-Cree LED, Battery and Recharge port from TCSS. The speaker I picked up on Ebay: (Railmaster Hobbies DHB27-8 High Bass speaker 8 Ohm). Try punching those numbers for the spring size in McMaster Carr's website. They more than likely ship to Canada?? Good luck!

I did order some of the compression springs matching those numbers to McMaster but I sadly received an e-mail from them telling me they cancelling the order as they do not want to send to Canada. :(

Man, I'm sorry you're having so much trouble!?!? At least you have the numbers of the exact size of spring you need and you can check your local hardware store? Good luck!!
