Hi again! I've documented the build process of my Fordo Phase 2 helmet and wanted to share. :)
Here's Arc-Cpt. Fordo in his bad@$$ Phase 2 Armor:

I took a mixed media approach (which will probably bite back at me during the finishing stages). I started with pepakura, pepping a portion of Space Cowboy's ANH bucket then making my own face:

Once resin and fiberglass was applied, I cut out the aerator bulbs then used spray foam to fill out the visor, cheeks, and chin. Sculpted some details with epoxy clay

Styrene and epoxy clay and XPS styro and bondo:

Nice work indeed. I'm impressed by the mixed media approach and like the little details such as the raising of the top of the dome. Looking forward to seeing more progress shots. :thumbsup

Thanks! Fixing the symmetry during my first sculpt (from scratch using xps foam) was very difficult. By using this mixed media approach, i was hoping to at least get a more or less symmetric base.

I'm largely impressed because I've never seen anyone tackle the animated-style BARC helmet before, in any medium. Are you doing the rest of the armor like the microseries, too?

Yes! Though the armor for the more recent Clone Wars series is based largely on that of the Microseries armor while allowing for more practical movement. So i'll be using the ACW Phase 1 armor for this.

Some updates:

Added some wood and loooots of bondo to the mix
