Clone Trooper Phase I & II Fiberglass Helmets

I recently acquired Java's Phase I & II helmet molds. Him and I are old friends from way back in the early days of internet prop boards (anyone remember the ASAP boards before we had RPF, etc?). I was wanting to get into some clone armor and helmets so he offered me his helmet and armor molds. I still have to get the armor molds and build a vac table, but here are the first castings of the helmets.



I used a gel coat from BJB Enterprises and West System 105 resin for the fiberglass. These are incredible light weight (about the same weight as my EFX TK helmet) and strong! If I end up offering a run (after becoming a premium member of course) I'll probably slush cast with Smooth-On 300 to speed up the time. Right now it takes me about 2 1/2 hours per helmet and another 30 min to demold them. I'll be casting the Phase 1 helmet fin today, so I'll post some follow up pics later.

They look really good man! But isnt this upper thing missing at the phase 1 helmet? Im not sure if i remember right but i think there is one too. Does anyone know how to call this:
