Clayton Carmine Costume (Help Needed) [Semi-Pic heavy]

Hey, I need some help with my Clayton Carmine costume, more specifically, I need help with the belt and the part where the chest piece and the belt connect in the back.
Here are a few pictures.
This is the belt

The circled area is where I'd like the button to be to... for lack of a better word "release" the belt

How can I make the belt "release" when the button is pressed?

This is where the chest piece connects to the belt

What I need help with is how to get the chest piece to "snap" together with the belt?
I welcome and appreciate any and all help.

For the belt release, some kind of seat belt or harness belt that has a push-to-release button already and build the costume belt around it.

Might also work for where the chest piece connects to the belt.

Belt 1
Belt 2
Lots more on Google push button release belts

Thanks for the help I'll definitely use the seat belt theory for the belt. For the chest-belt connection. I've been trying to figure out how the seat belt might work. Any ideas?

Why do you need it to "work", If it just looks the part but have a hidden release under those boxer or something it would be great.

Sure you need it to be working, Contec, so it makes that cool 'clicky clicked' sound when you're hooking up, and instant open when you push the button!

But really, that's all up to the costumer......

@Bigjohn9397: I was thinking going vertical there with the tongue on the chest piece and the receiving end of the buckle on the belt with the opening upward.

I also have one more question... What kind of pants should I use as a "undersuit" for the lower portion of the costume? I was thinking a military type of pant, possibly something like this

My gf said she is helping me with the leather padding, I just need the "underpants"(lol). What do you think?

Hey, I don't mean to make this into a zombie thread, but I need some help with a new part of my costume... I want to make the boots for Clayton, but i don't want to stick the the same old cliche' boot covers. Can anyone tell me how to make real, if only temporary, boots?

@Bishopfrost - I have been planning on making something similar to yours. What is it made of, if you don't mind me asking.

Mostly made of Sintra plastic, this is my new profile btw I couldnt get into my Bishopfrost account for some reason, I have some decent finished pics and be happy to help you out any way I can
