Classic spider-man zentai modification & Scarlet Spider build

So I just wanted to post in here that I actually found a zentai retailer who is willing to take your pattern file and not only print but sew into a suit for you for only $88 and that's including shipping for me. I've been keeping in contact with him and he said my suit was just printed. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/20/yqusyre7.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/20/e3eta7ev.jpg

With great power...

Really interested to see how this turns out. What dealer are you using? Is there a website? Please post completed pics

Any updates on this?

I modified the lenses that came with the costume. I took my mesh and placed it inside the mask so you couldn't see my eyes anymore. There's a con coming up here in Belgium so I'm not going to make any big changes right now, I can't risk it not being done, or screwed up before I need it. So after this con I'm back to making the bigger changes and adding the new lenses are the first thing on my to-do list.

@ Elias Pomales could you send me the name of that retailer please? @spidertwan you suits are amazing, keep up the good work!

Thanks dude!

I realize it's been a while since I've posted any updates. Now that finals are once again upon us, I've been looking for ways to make my procrastinating a little more productive. I suddenly realized I never finished any of my suits. So I got back to it.
Finished the front spider! So the Scarlet Spider hoodie is completely finished now. I'm really happy with how it turned out, I'm glad I didn't spray the spiders but sew them on.

Been thinking about the lenses too, since the Scarlet Spider mask doesn't have frames I'm not going to use any either. I'm going to cut out the shape of the eye pieces and sew the fabric of a white morphsuit mask inside of the suit. That should do the trick.

I already checked out your scarlet spider videos man, nice job, very well done. :thumbsup

This is looking pretty awesome!
Where are you planning on wearing it to?
If you ever attend an event in California or the neighboring states let me know,
I'd love to be able to have an alternate universe Spidey buddy to pal around with at conventions.
I'm still working on my ASM2 build right now, but I'm hoping to be done by March.
The work you did with the eyes is stunning, for the face shell, the RPF holds some budget friendly ones in the Junkyard.
I'd recommend one of those over trying to make your own. Although, sports authority and Big 5 have some great face masks with the right sized nose pronouncement. But they all seem a bit wide and non-conforming for your build.
Good luck and great build so far!

Thanks dude!
Well, I live in Belgium so I can only wear it at small events here, but it has always been a dream of mine to go to comic con. As a broke college student, it's kind of hard to afford a plane ticket and hotel though. But some day!
Thanks, I'm really happy with how the eyes turned out. Almost all other Scarlet Spider costumes I've seen had external lenses with frames, but I like the eyes more when they're worked into the mask.
I've been thinking about the face shell and I'm probably not going to use one. I did put some plastic in the mask behind the white fabric to maintain a rounded shape, it's still white, and has great visibility. The mask actually looks better than I expected, and right now it's easy to take it off and conceal it in the hoody.
As important as it is to make it look good, it still has to be comfortable to wear too. It's important to me that I can take the mask off without any problems of concealing it if I want to eat something or have a cigarette

Very nice haha,
You've definitely got the lean body type down for age 17-20 spiderman, when he was 5'9" and 150 lbs.
His latest "carnation" is 5'10" and 167 lbs, which is what I'm aiming for using the Spidey Fitness thread.

You pull that costume off effortlessly though the way you are, I'm kinda jealous as I have to work at it to get to Amazing Spiderman shape.

What additions are you planning right now?
Getting any of the cool wristbands? Ankle bands?

I'm loving this suit, and might make my own after my current one is done.

Thanks! I wouldn't mind being a bit more muscular though.

I made a to-do list yesterday, I still have to;
1) implement shoes into the costume,
2) put pods and a belt buckle onto the belt I have.
3) make the web shooters.

I already made the ankle pouches waaaay back, but they could use some improving.

First on the list are the shoes!

Re: Classic spider-man zentai modification & Scarlet Spider build

That's the exact one I bought to modify as well

Thanks! I just looked at your thread, nice job dude! Especially the muscle shading, nicely done!

Small update;
I've been working on the belt and the buckle is nearly finished!
Constructed out of half a tennis ball and an old alarm clock, looks surprisingly good considering the materials I used.

Next step is to spray paint the buckle silver and glue the tennis ball onto it.
