Classic BSG; PEGASUS patches, collar pins

I thought it was pretty cool to run out to the local army surplus and pick up the classic BSG collar pins (I believe they were 'Intellegence' pins). But are the collar pins and the red 'sword' patch from the Pegasus crew "found" items as well? I know I can pick these up on-line, but I really fancy the idea of going to the army surplus and looking for them by their REAL names. Has anybody identified these or were they custom?

The Collar pins were Navy ashore pins?

The patch too is a found item I believe.

First of all, you'll find "SCARWAF" in the Army listing under "Army Air Force Units" (they were Army Engineers {red & white branch colors} assigned to the then-brand new Air Force to help build air bases all over the world) for only $4.50 each"

If anyone is interested, I have resin kits available of many other CLASSIC Galactica insignias as well. That includes Cain's cravat pin and his chest badge.

I also have the most accurate replica of Commander Adama's uniform brooch available... blessed by TOS Galactica Costume Guru Chris Pappas himself.
