As odd as it sounds, I think my pelican case cost more than my AR-15. But I love opening it at the range and having everyone ooh and ahh.
Hermetically sealed, custom foam...YES!!!
At my local Binny's warehouse (booze), they sell old cigar boxes for a buck. Many of the boxes are really nice once you remove the labels.
Anything you put in a custom case looks more valuable. This religious medal is a gift for a friend. (I'm not discussing religion)
The design on top took me 10 minutes with a dremmel. I could have taken more time to make it look better.
