Child's Arrow Costume

So while I work on my Iron Man armor for the Chicago Con in August, I want to put together an Arrow out for my kiddo. We are gonna see Stephen Amell there and he's really excited. What material would be best for making the hoodie top part of the outfit? Something that would be somewhat durable like pleather is what I've been thinking so far. If anybody has any ideas please let me know.
