Up front, I want to say that I pre-cleared this thread with an admin. I sincerely do not want to break any rules here, and I figured talking about a banned member is a touchy subject. As such, I will not be discussing specific prop runs or parts made by Chen. This is NOT intended to get him more business. Indeed, in casually talking to him, it sounds to me like he's not doing runs any more. My sole intent is to try and help anyone who is still owed something by 5postboy.
So with that said... my story:
Many years ago I ordered from one of Chen's runs. The item was delivered promptly, but was missing a piece because he ran short, but he said that he'd try to get another made. Many months went by, and over time it became evident that he could no longer get the specific part made. Somewhere around this time I believe he went into the military, and I lost touch with him.
Every year or two I'd try and make contact again, but met with no luck. Around 2008 I gave up.
Well, for some reason, about a month ago I decided to try again, and low and behold, there he was. He seemed genuinely apologetic, and he wanted to make things right. We discussed a way to resolve things, and he made something for me of comparable value.
It arrived, and the agreed upon replacement completely meets my satisfaction.
So... yes, a 10 year old "debt" has been resolved, something that I long ago wrote off.
After emailing Chen that I received the part, he asked if I could post here, letting people know that if he owes them anything, he would also like to make amends. I asked the admins, and, well, here we are.
Chen wanted me to post the following:

Jeff and I have been corresponding the few weeks, and I recently delivered a product that I owned him from several years back. To be honest, he is the only RPF member that I have had any contact with in a really long time. I realize that there have been threads mentioned here indicating that I have defrauded customers in this community. To the best of my knowledge, I do not recall such transactions other than just one, with Merritt Diez. I am not here to go into details about his transaction, nor to seek to be restored back to the community. I just want to make sure that restitution is made to anyone who paid for a product that I failed to deliver.
I have also been unable to access past emails (Yahoo deleted my old email - about 10 years worth). They have not been able to restore them after months of back and forth. My paypal account was also suspended, which also prevented me from logging in to check past transactions.
Since then I had tried many times to find Merritt but have not been able to make contact through email, IM etc. If you know him, please have him contact me.
So to keep things short, if you feel I still owe you, email me at pacific_5@yahoo.ie with a paypal receipt attached as well as any type of email correspondence you might have with me in the past. I will work with you to see about getting your product in a timely manner.
Thank you to all and special thanks to Jeff for posting on my behalf and to the RPF mods for allowing him to do so. I am gratefully appreciative to them for accommodating me.
