Check out my new Rotocast Machine

I wanted a rotocast machine for a few projects and didn't want to pay Mannetrons prices, so I had a local fabicator come up with his own design. This is a 2' x 3' machine with DC motors on both axis'. The speed is fully adjustable by the seperate control panel. This thing is solid and heavy, and will last me for years. After he put it all together and a very succesful weight test was performed he decided that he wants to go into a limited production on these. I will post more info later on the production, I just wanted to show off my machine. Oh, he also is going to start making small prototype vacu-form machines. Just PM if you have any questions.

Very nice, I just had a fabricator make a big hand cranked one for me, but I wont take up your thread. Pm sent.

Wow, that thing is pretty big. What is the footprint of that?

I have wanted to start on of these, but on a smaller scale. Like everything else, I don't know where I will find room for it in my little garage.

Nice machine. Be sure to post some pics of the resulting casts.

The machine only takes up a 3' x 4' size space . The inner axis rotates from 0-20 and the outer axis goes from 0-30, but I never take it up that fast. Wow, a hand crank machine? Oh the pain, the pain :)

Looks good. Love to see some pics of it in action

Sweet!

I have always dreamed of having something to rotocast!

Very beefy unit, any idea what your friend is thinking of charging for them?

Thanks for posting the pics:thumbsup. I've always wondered what a rotocast machine looks like. Does it remove all the airbubbles during casting? :confused

Peace
