Celtic Touch Paint up

[Vegas Vader 2]

hi all i just thought of posting the start and finish of one of my Vader helmets here. so first of we have a Celtic touch Vader helmet. i think its ROTJ.. these are old photos since then i have added aluminum tusks. i will start another thread of all the helmets in my collection soon!


so i got the helmet looking like this.. i think it was a paint test helmet at the time..

i then carefully stripped the paint and primer

and filled in the small pin holes with a little body filler

sorry i dont have pictures of it in its primed stage.
but here are the pictures of it fully built it has a bolt down locking mechanism to keep the dome on the faceplate made by Darth stone and artisan props lenses both are very well made. i used duply color paints for the two tone finish turned out pretty great!!

Fine work. Last pics are a little out of focus though. I don't know what it is about this helmet, but I just absolutely love it. It is aesthetically beautiful to me! :thumbsup

Agreed...the CT has always been one of my fave lids despite its flaws. I love mine and I'm glad that I had a chance to pick one up when I did...they're pretty tough to find now.
