Catspaw Enterprise--toward an accurate replica

The Catspaw miniature Enterprise is an obvious subject for a very cool little prop replica.

It would be nice to see an accurate version become available, with the correct proportions. I propose that we record here the details that are required to make an accurate one, in order to assist any future project toward making a really nice replica.

Areas that particularly need attention are the length of the engineering section in proportion to the saucer section, the thickness of the saucer section edge, details of the back end of the engineering section, the shape of the saucer strut, the size and attachment points of the nacelle struts, etc.

There is a production drawing shown on this page, but it does not appear that the actual prop follows it exactly:

Of course in the absence of actual measurements of the original, the primary source should be screen captures:

Ooooh, I would love to have one of those! Who made them before? Someone needs to do a run of these with the right type of chain.

There have been someone that made a run of these a few years ago.

Yes, but if you make some simple comparisons between those and the original you will find that they are surprisingly inaccurate.

Rylo. He has a thread in the J/Y right now.

Cool, what a great opportunity to make some accurate replicas, to really live up to what this hobby is all about!

If there is enough interest, maybe Rylo will do a 2.0 ?
Couldn't hurt to ask.
Maybe Russ?

To me it looks like the shuttle bay door area is a different color, kinda copper.
