So I love me some poker scenes in movies. I think they're a great way to portray suspense, tension, and a characters personality. After watching Casino Royale's final poker hand for 1000th time I got to thinking that the dealer was in on it. The odds of 4 characters getting all hands they feel are worth going all in on at the same time, along with one of said hands being a straight flush, it stinks of a stacked deck. In fact take a look at either the final hand in Maverick or the poker scene from Trinity Is Still My Name. Each one involves similar situations, and each one involves the dealer forcing the hands through a manipulated deck. Add this to the nonchalant manner that the dealer gets a $500,000 plaque at the end of the game screams of an inside job.
Makes sense too, as the government agencies wouldn't actually risk that amount of money on a game of chance, they would set up safeguards to make sure they came out on top. That dealer was a plant.
