Cara Dune Blasters

Here are a couple of Cara Dune blasters I made. PLA and resin printed with machined acrylic lenses. Painted with Duplicolor Hot Rod primer, Rub n Buff and oil paint. My first attempt at faux wood painting.

Excellent job, especially on those grips, they're really convincing. What colors did you go with?

Thanks, they are painted with burnt umber and burnt sienna on white pla. Put a few scratches and gouges in the pla first to help pick up the paint. I did the burnt umber first and then went most of it off leaving it in the grooves, let it dry and then did burnt sienna and then brushed with burnt umber to add grain. They are clear coated with Tremclad gloss. Here are some test pieces I did. The one on the right is just burnt sienna with no clear coat.
