Captain Quint's boat the "Orca".

This is a project that I started after I finished the new "Bruce" shark sculpt it's Quint's boat the "Orca" I have gotten tired of the same old Sci-fi stuff and wanted to try something new. The model is based on Pat Tritle's plans but I scaled the model down to almost half the size from the prints in case I do decide to do a limited run of the shark and boat set. I started making the frame from styrene which got planked with basswood instead of Balsa the balsa is to flimsy for me and can be damaged easily while being handled, I got the cabin structure done over the 4th of July weekend still much to do on this.

I'd like to make an Orca at some stage but it looks like an awful lot of work.
