Captain Canuck cosplay!

I've been a fan of Captain America since I was in my early teens. I've cosplayed him a few times, and am working on the Avengers version, even though I am Canadian. I was never too enthused by either the original Captain Canuck costume or the Guardian from Alpha Flight. However, Captain Canuck is getting a reboot, and a new costume! This is gonna be my newest work:)
 
So, I have started with JFCustom's Rocketeer foam helmet file, and have cut out a basic shape for my CC helmet. Although the foam isn't the usual 10mm anti-fatigue mats favoured by most foam builders, this lighter foam came my way for free-let's see how it works!
 
So, here is a side view of the helmet from before. The chin area is from Robo3687's Mark 4 armour.
 
Worked on the belt today-made from vinyl and Sculpey. Gonna close the pouches with magnets!
 
DUUUUUUUUDE that looks AWESOME!!! the new design is so good and whst you have done so far looks epic!!! It would be awesome if you Cpt Canuk teamed with my Cpt Britain! Shame ur across the pond, we could have got a Cpt America and looked awesome lol!

ps. How did you make the pouches? I need some for my Cyclops

Thanks, mate-I only hope I can do the drawings justice. Got any pics of your Captain Britain? I always enjoyed his original cossy, but the later one is awesome as well. I could immediately see the similarities in both captains, especially in the mask/helmet area.
I'll put up some instructions for the pouches in a bit. And we should Totally find a way to do a great group shot!
 
And here is a bit of a tutorial on how to make pouches. Lemme know if I should modify them!

Loving the reboot of this character. Only thing is that it does remind me a lot of Vindicator/Guardian of Alpha Flight. Pretty ingenious of you to combine various pep files for the headgear.

I may not be Canadian but was raised in Vancouver and still consider it home and I'm a diehard Canucks fan and technically, the good Captain is based off of the old Johnny Canuck character the team used ages ago. Good work so far and I'll be watching your progress!

Thanks mate, it's a fun build. I have just gotten into foam building, so the available files are great to use. I never really liked the Vindicator uniform, but I see some of the new Captain Britain in him, especially the helmet. I'm looking forward to seeing the new cartoon!

Yeah if you do a quick seach for Cpt Britain you will find my thread.... I did New Excalibur version, so kinda the reboot version of him like u are with this :)
Batons and belt buckle look awesome :)
 
just had a look at the pouch design, wow I can't make head nor tail of that lol will have to show my mum, she does my sewing, see if she can figure it....
but looked better at what you have done up to now and I am REALLY liking it dude :D keep up the awesome work :)
 
This looks awesome! I need to read some Captain Canuck, I've always liked the idea of him just haven't really heard anything good about his stories, and don't know enough personally, heh.
 
His super power? SUPER APOLOGIZING!!!

This is an awesome build, bringing all the canucks together!
