Captain America (trousers)

I really can't wait to wear my Super Soldier programme shirt (from a run, by fellow rpf member ChebaccaDoll) and I really want to get the finished look, to wear at DragonCon this year. Has anyone been able to identify the trousers seen in these pics? Are they authentic WW2 era or custom made? Also, are these WW2 jump boots? Thanks to NickDaring for these crackin' photos....

The trousers don't appear to be anything special, or at least don't stand out as WWII trousers.

I can't tell from the pics about the boots. WWII Para boots had a cap toe, and the heel had a slant. The could be...but the photos make it tough to tell definitively.

Cheers...yeah, I've been looking at genuine WW2 gear and nothing really seemed to match. And yeh, you are right about the cap toe on para boots....I'll keep looking to see if I can identify these ones that he wears.

I don't know if I would try to find WWII stuff to match this scene, this one is set in modern-day times square, so the clothes are likely modern clothes.

Those do appear to have a cap toe, it's just hard to spot. I'd say if they aren't authentic repros they're at least intended to look like it.

Cheers for the help guys...am still searching and hopefully I'll come up with a suitable pair of trousers. Hopefully we'll get more pics released soon which may show more details of the boots.

Hey guys I have a question. I'm doing my own version of the shirt, and haven't found a good brand of slim fit t-shirt to wear. Any suggestions on a brand?

GAP sell classic cut chino pants, i'm sure you could pick up a pair nearly exactly the same, may have to dye them to colour match but as for the cut it should be much the same.

as with the t-shirt GAP have loads of blank slim fit t-shirts, 100% positive they will have suitable ones.
