Captain America Shield Blank

Hey Valor (or anyone), I'm awaiting a quote from Accurate Metals but I had two questions. First, do you still do the stars? Second, have you seen a tutorial on how to add the inside bracket for the straps? I've seen it here on the RPF somewhere but cannot locate it again. It had something to do with getting a second piece spun and (somehow) attaching to the back so you could attach the framing to. I'm curious what that seam around the edge looks like where the front and back join.

I am still making and selling stars. PM me for detailsor go in the new Project Runs section for the sale thread. I have made and sold many bracket sets for the backs of shields, but don't have any in the works right now.

The lack of brackets is kind of a deal breaker on purchasing a shield blank. Any chance you have plans to make more?

Pretty sure there might be a tutorial somewhere on how to make the brackets. I think they made em outta sheet of aluminum

I've read some differing pricing on the shield blanks. Can anyone tell me what I can expect to pay from Accurate including shipping?

I just emailed Rolando (email is further up in this thread) and asked for the basic shield blank. He replied with the payment info.

You dont have to give any special instructions if you just want a basic blank. Their default specs are 26" diameter with a 10" center ring. If you want different specs they can do it but it'll cost a bit extra.

That is where I got mine. Would agree with Valor.

You want to contact Rolando ROLO0811@aol.com. He is the primary supplier form most of the shields you're seeing.

Correction. His standard shield has a 9.5 inch center circle.
