Just after some tips and advice if possible from some of you awesome costumers out there.

After cosplaying as Captain America recently borrowing a friends First Avenger costume I'm keen to work on my own suit with the aim for it to be an Age of Ultron Cap suit. I've been gathering various reference photos from the web and the threads here and now it's come time to consider fabric choices.

So far I'm considering the following

Navy Cordura
Red/Burgundy leatherette

but I'm keen for others to chip in with fabrics they've used for builds or perhaps ones I should consider as this is the first time I'm attempting a suit and have no clue. I have a complete shield which can be seen here http://www.therpf.com/f78/captain-america-shield-uk-production-1st-thread-213513/

Thanks for any help.

I haven't made an AoU suit yet, but from what I've seen other people on here do, Cordura seems to be the best route. Good luck on the build.

I've been looking at thin silicone sheets to cut and use for the rubber look pieces of the uniform like the trims on the shoulders. Apparently silicone adhesive glue will bond to the fabric very well.
