Can I make a silicon mold of this?

I tried Sculpey mold maker but I don't like the results :wacko

I just want to make a mold of this and I'm gonna look for a housing for this.

Do I just do this method and glue it so it doesn't float?

I would glue it down to the bottom of a home made MDF box. Poor silicone in till it was about 10mm deep. Then pop it out and you got your mould, easy. Although I would just use that as a template on mounting board or PVC, much cheaper. Unless your looking at making LOTS of them.

yeah, it seems a bit overkill, as its what, 1 mm wide? casts would be very brittle at that thickness.
