Got it a bunch of years ago, and since you guys are the experts I figure you'd be the best person to help. :)

It's cobbled together from parts, but I know nothing of the origin. and since I'm thinking of selling it, I guess i need to know from whence it came!

Some pictures:

Re: Can anyone identify this Obi saber for me?

Pics are kind of dark on the gearl and the end of the pommel pic is clipped so it's kind of hard to say on those two pieces. The granade reminds me of a SD studios run from way back when (yet it's been repainted). Your windvane is upside down, so if you have the ability to take the emitter off, you might want to flip that around before you sell it :)

If the "transistors" are screws, it's a good bet it's an old SD that's been reweathered.

Re: Can anyone identify this Obi saber for me?

The pommel was made by Gavidoc. The gear is hard to tell but it might be from SD. The grenade is not SD. The way to tell is that on the SD windvain, you cannot see straight through. If you look at the top you see the vains, if you look at the bottom you see solid, so since your windvain is upside down and I see vains it isn't SD.

Beyond that it is hard to say without better pictures. Maybe some of the parts are from Darth Hez? You managed to take pictures of almost every angle except those needed to determine the manufacturer:lol

Thanks guys...I'll take some more, brighter pictures later tonight and throw them here in the thread.

Oh, and I'll try and flip the windvain. :)

Updated, disassembled pics:

I truly appreciate your help; being a newbie I really don't know where to begin with things like this. Is it even worth selling?

Thanks!

Looks like all Roman parts, but I'm on my iPhone so it's hard to tell for sure.

Roman emitter for sure. If the windvane does not screw to the frag body I'd say Roman again, maybe Hez. Roman (Larbel) clamp. I thought the booster was Parks but I'll go with Roman again. The handwheel can't be Gavidoc because the booster goes inside it and it's too sharp to be a Parks. I say Roman handwheel.

You're right. I stand corrected. I think James is right that they are all Roman Parts.

Could you please put your windvane back in it's correct position?

Like so:

It's hurting seeing it this way and ... it will sell for less I'm afraid

:confused

All latest Roman's Empire parts.
And.... Yes, please turn your windvane over to the correct position.

That's a beautiful saber!

I think it would look more unique if you turned the windvane over!
:lol just kidding.

I think fixing it proves how "vane" you are! Haha...OK Ill stop now.

I love to see these all weathered up!

I forgot that SDs couldn't be seen through :$

I knew it wasn't a Hez, I had one of those...of course u had an SD many years ago, and a lot of good that did me :lol

Yup, I'll 4th it or where ever we're up to. Romans is a good one.

Yup, that's mine, but not my last version. Looks like my 2nd to last version on the sink knob, balance pipe and windvane. :)
