Can anyone ID my ESB Snowspeeder?

Aloha everyone -

First off, I didn't know if this belonged in general modeling or studio scale, if I'm in the wrong line feel free to move me!

Many years ago a friend of mine got me a great 25th b-day present. It seems a friend of his had a mold of snowspeeder that was *supposedly* from ILM. He got a hold of the mold for a day, and we had an orgy of resin (eeew). My question for you experts is: Have you ever seen this model before? I am dubious of the ILM provenance - I am leaning more towards fan-made kit. The mold I cast this in was old, and on its last legs. I dunno. It is really neat - a great little version of my favorite star wars ship. Now the Disclaimer: I am not a pro model builder! Yep, there are air bubbles on the kit. Also - I have a wide angle lens on my camera so there is a bit of distortion in some of the shots (the slight bend to the blaster barrels from being in storage adds to the effect).

Has anyone seen this model before?

Mahalo,

It bears *some* resemblance to the Action Fleet snowspeeder that Galoob did - there are some differences, like how the cockpit connects, or the area where the "fuel connection" is on the toy...

The scale seems close, tho - it's possible that it could have been used as a base reference... I found this picture of one that someone had painted up from an original...

It looks like the one from Gary Kurts collection from his Profiles in History auction in 2005. he had a copy in his personal collection.

Looks like it could be ILM indeed.

What a roller-coaster of emotions!
First: depression - "oh man, this thing I've kept boxed up and treated like fragile gold for 10 years is a modified toy rebuild?!"
Second: Elation - "Holy guacamole! Looks like mold was a good one after all! Glad I hang on to this little guy! I knew it all along :rolleyes
and lastly: Laughter - I love the tiki! The cursed Brady Bunch one, no? I'm afraid I have a set of cups just like that already! :lol

Mahalo for the photos of the ILM model - I do believe it is a match!

I took that photo in San Diego in 2005, they had all of Kurt's stuff on display before the auction.

Your model has different tells then that mincomachine toy, I'm pretty sure it's from the same molds from ILM as Kurt's.
